With over 20 years of translating and interpreting experience we know the importance of immigration documents and how they are used. We understand the absolute necessity of timely filing with USCIS, Immigration Court, and other government agencies. We have also seen why translations from some companies get rejected by Immigration Judges and DHS Attorneys.
Immigration Attorneys
We are small and specialized. By concentrating on Immigration documents in Spanish and Portuguese we maintain a high level of quality while taking care of two of the most common languages needing translations in U.S. Immigration procedures.
Other companies may offer translation for any type of document in dozens of languages. Although in this era of one-stop shopping that may seem like a good thing, it can be extremely detrimental to the client. To provide such a broad service these companies need to staff or contract translators who may not be qualified or experienced. Even if they are experienced, they may not be familiar with Immigration documents or procedures.
Simply not understanding the function of certain government agencies in other countries can make for bad translations. Raising the language register in a translation of a respondent’s affidavit or declaration can take away credibility in the eyes of Immigration Judges and DHS Attorneys. We deal with these documents every day. Our goal is to put our clients at ease. There are so many things that Immigration Lawyers must worry about. Translation should not be one of them.
